& Big Sandy Lodge
The
Setting
Big
Sandy Lodge LLC is remotely located at the end
of the Big Sandy opening road at the southern end of the Wind River
Mountain Range. We're nestled in the forest in a very rustic setting,
on the edge of a picturesque mountain lake. We have ten rustic log cabins
available for rental which can accommodate up to 44 total people. We
are near the Big Sandy Trailhead with access into the Bridger Wilderness
and many trails and lakes. Six different species of trout await the
avid angler! Most lakes are within 8 miles
of the lodge. Some of the more remote lakes are within 15 miles.
The
Lodge
Our lodge has massive twin and native stone fireplaces and a trophy-filled
lounge for your enjoyment. Spend your evenings in front of a roaring
fire, watc the sun set over our alpine lakes and the mountains of the
Continental Divide, and feel the evening quiet. Big Sandy Lodge LLC
offers a variety of family and individual vacation packages. Enjoy our
hearty western meals served family style in the lodge. We cater to family
reunions, weddings, executive and artist retreats, and group functions.
Ranch
style breakfasts and dinners are served family style in the lodge dining
room. Lunches are packed for your hikes and trail rides. Special dietary
needs can be accommodated with advanced notice.
The
Cabins
Our
rustic, one-room log cabins are furnished with bedding, towels, wood-burning
stoves and kerosene lamps. There are no phones or electricity, so here's
your chance to really get away from it all and enjoy a relaxing vacation.
Modern restroom and shower facilities are centrally located to the cabins.
Excellent trout fishing is just outside your cabin door. We
can
accommodate some special needs, so please contact us with any specific
questions you might have for any member of your party. Group and family
rates are available, please inquire.
See
our Rates page for specific price details for
this season and this year's special package rates.
Sorry,
we can no longer accept drop-offs for hikers on the Continental
Divide National Scenic Trail.
