Book Your Cabin

Cabin Rates (All Meals Included)

Mid-June to Mid-September

RATES VARY BY OCCUPANCY

Cabins 1 through 8 (accommodate up to 4 guests):

$255.00 per night for the first guest

$95.00 for each additional guest

Cabins 9 and 10 (accommodates 3 to 5 guests):

$280.00 per night for the first guest

$95.00 per additional guest

Children stay (with an adult) at the following rates:

Ages 4 -10: $60.00/child/night.

Ages 3 and under: Free

Cabin stays include 3 meals for each guest, consisting of a family-style dinner served at 6:30pm, a ranch-style breakfast at 7:30am, and a packed lunch to go with you for the day. Please be aware that we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions/preferences.

If you wish to order from our burger/beer menu, this will be an additional charge at the time of service, in addition to your cabin meals.

We do not offer cabin only rates.

We do have cabins to accommodate those traveling with pets at a required pet fee of $50/pet for the duration of your stay. Pets must remain on a leash in public areas, may not be left unattended in rooms, and are not allowed in dining or food service areas. Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are always welcome at no additional charge.

Payment and Cancellation: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your stay. Cancellations made 10 days or more before arrival may receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 10 days of arrival are non‑refundable. Please note that early departures or unused meals cannot be refunded. In the event that you need to cancel, please email us as soon as possible at bigsandylodgewyoming@gmail.com or you can text/call 307.749.1401. Email is typically the best option for reaching us.

Horse trips require prior confirmation before booking a cabin. Spots are limited and not guaranteed without confirmation.

Gear Drops

July to Mid-September

Pack Horses are $345.00/Trip/Day (maximum of 140 lbs. of your weighed gear per horse) includes your Guide(s) and Guide Horse(s). Our Packer/Guide will take your gear to a predetermined destination in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. All gear must be received by 7:00am on the day of service to maintain reservation. Multi-horse gear drops should deliver gear the evening prior to your date of service. For discounts, see below.

Spot Packs

July to Mid-September

Saddle and Pack horses are $345.00 each/trip/day includes your Guide(s) and Guide Horse(s). Our Packer/Guide will take you and your gear by horseback to a predetermined destination in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. For discounts, see below.

Children must be at least 8 years old to ride. NO DOUBLE RIDING ALLOWED. Riders over 250lbs can be accommodated by special arrangement only and are contingent upon stock availability. All horseback riding requires a signed liability waiver.

Day Rides & Fishing Trips

July to Mid-September

$345/Person/Day includes your Guide(s) and Guide Horse(s). Up to 8 hours horseback riding with a professional guide who will lead you to scenic views, picnic locations, and/or excellent fishing destinations. For discounts, see below.

Children must be at least 8 years old to ride. NO DOUBLE RIDING ALLOWED. Riders over 250lbs can be accommodated by special arrangement only and are contingent upon stock availability. All horseback riding requires a signed liability waiver.

Family Adventure Package

Opening Day to Mid-September

Create lasting memories with our all‑inclusive Family Adventure Package. Designed for two adults and two children, this bundle includes: Two nights in a cozy cabin, meals provided for the family, and one full‑day horseback ride, guided through stunning Wyoming backcountry. At a flat rate of $1,800, this package offers the perfect balance of comfort, adventure, and value — making it easy for families to experience the best of Big Sandy Lodge together.

Back Country Explorers Package

Opening Day to Mid-September

Step into the wilderness with our Back Country Explorers Package, designed for adventurers seeking a true Wyoming backcountry experience. - Two nights in a rustic cabin — one before your spot pack or gear drop, and one after your return. All meals included per nights stay in the cabins, to keep you fueled for the journey. Spot pack or gear drop adventure with professional wrangler support. Available for groups of 2 or more guests At $800 per guest per day, this package combines lodge comfort with the peacefulness of the backcountry.

Traditional Mitchell Package

Opening Day to Mid-September

Stay 3 Nights in our cozy rustic cabins & receive a 20% discount on a horseback day trip. Ranch-style breakfasts, packed lunches, family-style dinners included. During your 3 night stay, enjoy one day ride trip of up to 8 hours of sightseeing or fishing at a 20% discount. Read about our Cabins and Day Rides for more details.

CDT Hiker Accommodations

Opening Day to Mid-September

Rent A Cabin:

Book a cabin stay with us. Cabin stays require a confirmed reservation to ensure cabin availability. We'll pick up your resupply from the Boulder post office and have it ready on site when you arrive at no additional cost. Sleep in a real bed, get a hot shower, enjoy home-cooked meals, and get your resupply. Cabin Deposit & your resupply packages must be mailed at least 2 weeks in advance.

CDT Resupply:

$40.00 (includes tax/fee) - You get a Hot Shower, A Lodge Burger with One Side and A Soda (available Thursday through Monday), and we will pick up your resupply package from the Boulder Post Office. Should you arrive on a day that the restuarant is not open we will provide an equally hearty lodge meal. Your $40.00 fee and resupply packages must be mailed 2 weeks in advance.

Guided Hunts

September 1st through October 15th

All prices listed are Per Person Rates. All hunts are based from Big Sandy Lodge unless pre-arranged to hunt from the backcountry.

Sales Tax (4%), Lodging tax (5%), Forest Service Fee (3%) are included in the rates listed below.

Credit Cards are an option for an additional 2.9% fee.

ELK AREAS 98 & 99:7 Day Pkg/5 Day Hunt at $7,425.00

MOOSE AREAS 3 & 30:7 Day Pkg/5 Day Hunt at $7,381

DEER AREAS 130 & 138(H):(Deer Hunting is Currently Unavailable)

ANTELOPE AREAS 87, 88, 90 & 91:7 Day Pkg/5 Day Hunt at $4,123

Prices for Rifle & Archery hunts are the same.

Your hunting licenses are not included in this price.

Your hunting package includes comfortable accommodations, hot meals, professional guides, trail horses if needed, field dressing, and packing your game into the lodge. Big Sandy Lodge is not responsible for taxidermy, meat storage, or processing. BSL Guides hunt primarily with the “Call & Stalk” or “Still Hunting” method. This method can often be very intense. We strongly recommend that hunters arrive in good shape and physically capable of following Guides to elevations of 11,000 & if necessary. Big Sandy Lodge books a maximum of 20 guided hunts per year. A deposit of 50% must be received in order to confirm your hunt. Deposits are non-refundable. Remaining balance is due upon arrival.

Wyoming law requires that non-resident hunters be accompanied by a licensed Wyoming guide if hunting for big game in any designated wilderness area. Big Sandy Lodge operates under State of Wyoming Outfitter License BG 218, James Morris. It is illegal in the state of Wyoming to offer any form of remuneration to an unlicensed individual for guiding, hunting, or packing services.
